George Noch Award

The award traditionally has been given to a boy and girl in the eighth grade who exemplify academic excellence. In past years this award encompassed three years, grades 6-8. Since the move to the junior high building, the award will take into consideration a student's two years in the junior high school only. It will be a junior high school award and will no longer include a student's sixth grade year. Any eighth grade student upon entering the junior high school building at the beginning of their seventh grade year and meeting the minimum G.P.A. requirement of 3.75 in every individual marking period will be nominated as a candidate. A committee of teachers will vote for one boy and one girl to be recognized at this year's Academic Honors Program.
